International Expert Network

About the Network
Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), based in Vilnius, Lithuania, is establishing an international pool of external experts to support the quality and objectivity of internal research funding decisions.

The University is currently running two internal funding schemes for research groups and individual researchers. In both cases, project proposals must undergo an independent expert evaluation before funding is awarded. To ensure transparency and high academic standards, MRU invites experienced international experts to join its evaluation pool.

Role of  Experts
Experts in the MRU International Expert Network may be invited to act as evaluators of internal project applications submitted by MRU researchers.

Main tasks
• Assess the scientific quality, originality, feasibility and impact of proposed research projects
• Provide written feedback and recommendations

Conditions
• Compensation: €200 per evaluated application
• Recognition: Experts receive an official certificate confirming participation in the evaluation process

Expert Profile
We invite experts who meet the following criteria
• PhD degree, preferably in the fields of social sciences: law, management, education, economics, psychology, communication and information, philology, or philosophy
• Research profile corresponding to R3 or R4 level as described in the EURAXESS Research Profiles Framework (Established Researcher / Leading Researcher)
• Experience in the implementation and evaluation of international research projects
• Strong academic publication record in the relevant field, including publications in high impact journals (Q1 or Q2 quartiles) and/or internationally published monographs. High impact journals here refers to journals included in major international databases such as Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus, in the first or second quartile of their field based on citation impact metrics.

  2. Send a CV and a list of publications (please indicate publications indexed in Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus, as well as monographs published by international publishers) to mkas@mruni.eu
