Conference on Innovation and Societal Change

On October 21, MRU will hold the international interdisciplinary academic conference “STEM4humanities For Innovation and Social Change” (STEM4HUMANITIES-ISC2025). The aim of the event is to explore how the integration of different academic disciplines can open new research opportunities and provide practical solutions for contemporary societies.

The conference will bring together scholars, researchers, and experts from a wide range of disciplines to discuss how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields can complement the Humanities, promote innovation, and contribute to social transformation.

The keynote speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ana Balula, will deliver a presentation titled “Synergizing STEM and Humanities Education: A Global Learning Approach.” She will discuss how the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) approach can bridge STEM and the Humanities by fostering interdisciplinary skills, intercultural collaboration, and global learning in digital environments. The presentation will also highlight good practices and challenges in implementing global learning strategies across academic disciplines.

In addition, project partners will present the results achieved throughout their collaboration.

This conference provides an excellent opportunity for participants to engage in discussions on interdisciplinary research, explore methodological insights, and exchange ideas on the practical application of innovative approaches.
