October 10 is recognized worldwide as World Mental Health Day. This year, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is joining the national initiative “Green Light for Life”, organized by the “Youth Line”. The campaign aims to encourage open conversations about emotions, reduce stigmas, and remind us that emotional health is just as important as physical health.
The theme of this year’s campaign is #ValueYourFeelings. It highlights the importance of acknowledging emotions rather than suppressing or denying them, as doing so can have painful consequences. The ability to speak openly about feelings is one of the key conditions for emotional well-being. The campaign invites us to pause and value emotions wherever we are – at school, work, home, in the media, on social networks, or within our community.
MRU activities for emotional well-being
October 6, 8 and 9 – MRU students and staff are invited to participate in guided sessions at the Relaxation Room. These sessions will introduce a variety of methods supporting emotional well-being, including mindfulness techniques, relaxation, and elements of art therapy. The sessions will be conducted in English.

Let’s wear green
On October 10, the MRU community is invited to symbolically join the initiative by wearing green, the color that represents hope, life, and openness to feelings.
Let’s value our emotions together!
