On September 11, an official graduation ceremony was held at the University of Lille (France) for the second cohort of graduates of the international joint Master’s degree programme GOvernance and Administration of Leisure and Sports (GOALS).

For the past four years, the programme has been successfully delivered by five leading European universities in the field of sports management: the University of Lille Nord de France (France), Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (Poland), and the University of Health, Exercise & Sports – LUNEX (Luxembourg).

This year, diplomas were awarded to 19 graduates from various countries around the world. Over the course of two years, they studied in an international academic environment, gained multicultural experience, and acquired knowledge that will help them pursue leadership roles in the sports and leisure industry. The ceremony was attended not only by the academic community but also by graduates’ families, friends, and representatives of partner universities.

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) was represented at the event by Prof. Dr. Danguolė Jankauskienė, Dean of the Faculty of Public Governance and Business, and Prof. Dr. Vilma Čingienė, Professor at the Institute of Management and Political Sciences and Programme Coordinator, who congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of international cooperation.

“This programme is the result of a shared vision and joint efforts by European universities. We are proud that GOALS graduates are becoming highly qualified professionals, capable of shaping sports and leisure policy and management on an international scale. They are the leaders of tomorrow, whose achievements will strengthen the academic and professional reputation of all partners,” noted Dean Prof. Dr. Danguolė Jankauskienė.

The GOALS programme provides not only top-level academic knowledge but also a unique opportunity to study in several European countries, gain intercultural experience, and build a lasting professional network – a solid foundation for an international career in sports management and administration.
