Internationalization at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is not just about visits or exchanges — it’s about long-term partnerships grounded in shared values and a common academic vision. July and August 2025 were marked by meaningful meetings with partners from the Asian region, aimed at expanding cooperation in studies, research, and mobility.
On July 28, MRU welcomed representatives from Siam University (Thailand) — Director of International Relations Yling Sawheny and International Relations Manager Ashutosh Mishra. The visit took place under the Erasmus+ KA171 mobility programme. The guests met with Vice-Rector for Studies Prof. Dr. Natalija Kaminskienė and were introduced to MRU’s main study fields, research priorities, academic community, and infrastructure. Discussions focused on expanding academic exchanges and exploring cooperation opportunities with the School of Law, the Faculty of Human and Society Studies, the Faculty of Public Governance and Business, and the International Office.
On August 4, MRU received another important guest — Dr. Chinmay Pandya, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti University (India). During his visit, he met with Prof. Dr. Natalija Kaminskienė and Prof. Dr. Linas Selmistraitis, Vice-Dean for Studies at the Faculty of Human and Society Studies. The discussions involved sharing experiences, presenting academic directions, and exploring potential forms of future collaboration between the institutions.
Such meetings strengthen MRU’s international network and contribute to the achievement of long-term academic goals. They lay the foundation for sustainable partnerships, foster the enhancement of study quality, support the growth of the academic community, and open up broader opportunities for the university’s international development.
