From 16 to 21 June 2025, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) hosted its 13th International Erasmus+ Staff Exchange Week. This yearās event brought together more than 30 participants from 19 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. Representatives from different continents and cultures created a space for vibrant dialogue, exchange of best practices, and exploration of new international cooperation opportunities.
The weekās programme began on 11 June with a virtual session and continued in Vilnius on 16 June with an introductory tour of the Old Town. In the following days, participants engaged in an intensive agenda, including thematic presentations on international exchange priorities, meetings with MRU faculty representatives, training sessions, and cultural activities. The event was officially opened by MRU Vice-Rector for Studies Prof. Dr. Natalija KaminskienÄ. Priorities and best practices of exchange programmes were presented by representatives of the Education Exchanges Support Foundation Kornelija GulbinskaitÄ and Marta SnarskienÄ. The European Reform University Alliance was introduced by the ERUA2 Strategic Partnership Project Lead, Dr. Jolanta BieliauskaitÄ.
The training sessions focused on international mobility and partnerships, quality assurance and accreditation of studies, the development of research and innovation, and staff well-being. A significant part of the event was dedicated to presentations by participants about their universitiesā activities and experiences, as well as insights shared by Erasmus Student Network (ESN) MRU Vilnius representatives on student volunteering.
The cultural programme offered guests the opportunity to learn more about Lithuaniaās history and heritage through an excursion to KernavÄ and Trakai. Participants also visited MRUās academic departments, the library, and took part in individual meetings. A warm atmosphere was created by performances from MRU students and shared dinners featuring traditional Lithuanian dishes.
The 13th International Erasmus+ Staff Week was organised on the initiative of MRUās International Office in cooperation with other academic and administrative units. The event was funded by the EUās Erasmus+ programme under BIP No. 2023-1-LT01-KA131-HED-000114517-1 ā13th International Staff Exchange Week at Mykolas Romeris Universityā.
