International Teaching Week at MRU: Shared Knowledge, Global Perspectives, and Human Connection

From May 5 to 9, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) welcomed guest lecturers from across the globe as part of its International Teaching Week, a tradition that continues to bring fresh energy to the academic community. This year, nearly 20 lecturers joined the university from a wide range of countries – including those in Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Portugal, France, Hungary), as well as Africa (Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana), Asia (Japan), and North America (Canada).

Throughout the week, visiting academics led lectures, seminars, and workshops for MRU students from various programmes. The focus was not only on academic content, but also on meaningful exchanges – conversations, reflections, and encounters that created a space for mutual learning and cultural curiosity.

In addition to academic sessions, guests took part in a cultural programme, explored the city of Vilnius, and participated in Europe Day events on May 9. These moments served as a reminder that teaching is not only about sharing expertise, but also about building connections that cross borders and disciplines.
