On 6 November 2026, representatives of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) Student Local Board, Mykolas Romeris University Student Representation (MRUSA) and ESN MRU Vilnius signed a cooperation agreement at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). The agreement marks a step towards strengthening student engagement, fostering intercultural dialogue and building closer connections between Lithuanian and international students.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating a more inclusive and internationally connected university community, where students from different backgrounds have opportunities not only to study together but also to collaborate, exchange experiences and actively participate in university life.
Combining Experience to Create New Opportunities
Each of the three organisations brings valuable experience and a distinct perspective to the partnership. The ERUA Student Local Board promotes international cooperation, student-led initiatives and engagement in activities across the European Reform University Alliance. MRUSA represents students' interests and encourages their active participation in university life, while ESN MRU Vilnius supports international students in adapting to their new environment and fosters intercultural exchange.
By joining forces, the organisations aim to strengthen cooperation, organise joint events and initiatives, and improve communication between Lithuanian and international students. Particular attention will be given to making student activities more accessible and encouraging broader participation across the MRU community.
Towards a More Inclusive University Community
Beyond formal cooperation, the agreement represents a shared commitment to overcoming social and cultural barriers and ensuring that every student, regardless of nationality or background, feels welcomed, represented and involved in university life.
The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for meaningful interaction, mutual learning and lasting connections between students.
Through this agreement, ERUA, MRUSA and ESN MRU Vilnius reaffirm their commitment to building a university environment where cultural diversity is recognised as a strength and international cooperation becomes an integral part of everyday student life.
