Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) has joined the joint statement “For an explicit recognition of European University Alliances as pillars of Europe's competitiveness, sovereignty and skills.”
The joint statement has been co-signed by 261 higher education institutions from 30 European countries. It calls on the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament to recognise the strategic role of European University Alliances in the 2028–2034 Multiannual Financial Framework and the European Competitiveness Fund.
The statement highlights the contribution of European University Alliances to strengthening European higher education, research and innovation, developing skills, and advancing Europe's competitiveness and strategic resilience.
