Why this study programme?

The aim of the Public Administration Study Programme is to train professionals who are able to perform managerial/administrative tasks in public sector organizations, able to identify, analyze and solve problems related to the nature of organizational and personnel management, public sector economy, administrative law, e-governance, social and demographic processes, e-record-keeping and e-public services.
This program focuses on giving an all-round skill set for effective work in the civil service at local, national, and international government organizations. The courses of the programme covers all managerial aspects of the organizations, such as strategic planning, managing and budgeting programs and projects, organizing and leading teams, managing human resources, also includes important policy and law courses that create an in-depth understanding of the public and non-governmental sectors.

Mykolas Romeris University Public administration study programme is the largest such programme in Lithuania. We train more than half of all Public Administration specialists. The programme has the most extensive social partnership networks, which include NGO’s, central government ministries and agencies, and local government authorities. This allows our students to orientate their studies in close relation to the demands of labor market of this profession and become experienced professionals.

Entry requirements

  • Secondary education (grade in history/foreign language).
  • English language proficiency - the level not lower than B1 (following the Common Framework of Reference for Language approved by the Council of Europe). Distant English language level test is organized for those, who do not posses IELTS or TOEFL certificates.
In case your English language level is not sufficient, please choose English Language Minor studies. During the first study year students, who enter a major Bachelor study programme together with minor English language studies, will focus on language studies only. Upon completion of one year Minor English Language studies and reaching sufficient English language proficiency level international students will continue studies on their selected Major.

International mobility possibilities

2nd and 3rd year students can participate in ERASMUS+ mobility programme which gives a possibility to study at a university abroad for 1 or 2 semesters and do internship in another country.

Career prospects

Graduates of the programme can take up jobs as project managers, strategic planning officers, human resource management specialists in local and national government institutions, as well as international bodies such as the EU or UN, and NGO’s.
