“Financial Markets” study programme

Double diploma advantages:

Schedule of lectures:
•    First autumn semester at home university.
•    Second spring semester (1st of February – 30th of June) at Mykolas Romeris University. One week before the start of studies MRU invites you to join the Introductory Week.
•    Third autumn semester at home university – defense of the final thesis is organized jointly by two universities using distance way of communication.

Tuition fee – 1680 EUR.

Documents submission procedure

Documents to be submitted:
•    Fill out the Online Application Form;
•    Graduate students must upload copies of university transcript and diploma (a candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent first university degree with a minimum 3-year study duration);
•    Upload passport style photo;
•    Upload a copy of your passport or ID card;
•    Upload a notarized letter of guarantee from parents/sponsors and the Certificate/Letter from a bank about their financial abilities (check the suitable sample of the document: click here);
Note:
•    All documents must be translated in to the Lithuanian or the English language;
•    Application documents must be sent by Online Admission platform apply.mruni.eu (University has a right to ask for the original documents);

Accomodation

Dormitory

         Mykolas Romeris University offers accommodation for international students on campus – at student residence hall “Student house”- the twelve-floor modern building. It takes 5 minutes on foot to come to the main University building.
         Due to the increasing number of students, only places in shared rooms are offered. Rooms are shared by two or three students. Monthly rent of a place in a room in the “Student house” is from 85 to 100 euros. Rental fee is subject to change. International exchange students are required to pay for the accommodation in advance for the entire semester at their arrival or during the introductory week (i. e. for all 5 months of the semester).
         All the rooms have Internet access. The “Student house” is also equipped with a computer lab and copy/printing facilities. Bathroom facilities are mostly shared by two rooms. There is one common use kitchen, meeting room, working room in each floor. Students are obliged to clean up and keep the order in the kitchen and rooms by themselves. Laundry room is also available for international students with extra charge.
Room configuration in the dorm: Each room has beds, a working desk, shelfs and a wardrobe. You can ask the Manager of the building or at the reception of the dormitory for the keys. You can also ask for blankets, towels, pillows etc.

Private

Some of students live outside the campus in the rented private apartments although it is at least two or three times more expensive than staying in the residence hall of Mykolas Romeris University. If an international student prefers to rent an apartment, the International Office may suggest to student some reliable real estate companies or private people who rent apartments for students.
  •    Close to Mykolas Romeris University main campus (in 0,5 km at Ateities str. 9) there is a Baltupiai guest house "Baltupių svečių namai" which offers dormitory type accommodation in shared rooms by 2-3 persons. Room costs around 200-250 EUR. 
  •    Close to Mykolas Romeris University main campus (in 2 km at Jeruzales str. 21) there is a Hotel Simple which offers dormitory type accommodation in double and triple rooms.
  •    If you want to live closer to the city center you can choose to stay the Corner Hotel (in 9 km at. T. Ševčenkos str. 16) which offers dormitory type accommodation in single and double rooms.

International mobility possibilities (Erasmus+)

Students can participate in ERASMUS+ mobility programme which gives a possibility to study at a university abroad for 1 or 2 semesters and do traineeship in another country.

Working in Lithuania during the Studies and after Graduation

Students who are not interested in working during their studies can arrive to the Republic of Lithuania on a visa-free regime for 90 days during which they should apply for a National multiple entry D type visa at the Migration Office in Vilnius, Lithuania (see the requirements for visa D application below).
Students who are interested in working during their studies (20 hours per week) 4 months before arrival to the Republic of Lithuania (beginning of October) should apply for a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) and a National multiple entry D type visa for the period of TRP consideration at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine (see the requirements for a TRP and visa D application below).

Documents to be submitted for a D type visa:
 
1. Valid travel document (+ a copy of it) (validity period is at least 3 months longer than validity period of requested visa);
2. Online application form;
3. Mediation letter number (from MRU Student Support Manager);
4. Health Insurance (valid in all Schengen countries till the expiration date of requested visa) for at least 30000 Eur (in Lithuanian, English or Russian);
5. Bank statement confirming that you have sufficient amount of money to live in Lithuania (200 Eur per month = 2400 Eur per year + 400 Eur for travel expenses);
6. One recent colour photo (35x45 mm).

Documents to be submitted for TRP issuing:

1. Online application form;
2. Valid travel document (+ a copy of it) (validity period is at least 3 months longer than validity period of requested visa);
3. Valid Schengen visa or a national visa of the Republic of Lithuania, unless visa-free regime applies;
4. One photo (40x60 mm);
5. Mediation document of a science and studies institution (from MRU Student Support Manager);
6. Documents confirming that you were admitted as a student to a science and studies institution according to a study programme (from your MRU faculty);
7. Document confirming that you have sufficient amount of money to live in Lithuania (200 Eur per month = 2400 Eur for one year/4800 Eur for two years);
8. Letter proving place of residence (from MRU Student Support Manager);
9. A statement of a competent authority (-ies) in your country certifying the fact that you have (not) been convicted of a crime (translated into Lithuanian and properly legalised);
10. A list of trips and stays in foreign states;
11. Health Insurance (valid in all Schengen countries till the expiration date of requested TRP) for 6000 Eur (translated into Lithuanian);
12. Paid state fee:
-    for the consideration of issuing the TRP on a general basis – EUR 86; on an urgent basis – EUR 172.
-    for the processing of the TRP (paid later) on a general basis – EUR 28; on an urgent basis – EUR 56.

PERIODS OF:
TRP consideration on a general basis – 4 months;
                               on an urgent basis – 2 months.

TRP processing on a general basis – 10 working days;
                          on an urgent basis – 5 working days.


In 2018, the national minimum wage in Lithuania remained fixed at 400 € per month.
In 2018, the average wage in Lithuania approx. at 693 € per month.
