As winter continues to grip Vilnius and the temperature drops to sub-zero temperatures, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) international students, especially from Africa, are having a difficult time coping with the cold. With time, you get used to it, others are wearing knitted ski caps even indoors to fight the cold spells.

    Christmas Fair & Art Auction and Concert - Dec. 13th

    Dec. 13th, 2017, in MRU's II wing's foyer on the 2nd floor, a Christmas Fair was held with cakes and cookies for sale. All proceeds will go to stray dog helpers, "Dogspotas." In the Rotunda Hall, students auctioned off their works of art.

    Nov. 25th, 2017, (Saturday), MRU's Skalsa Vocal Group performed at the Student Folk Music Festival, "Linksminkimos 2017" at the Vilnius Dance Theater Hall (Kosciuškos g. 11).  The 10-member Skalsa Vocal Group performed along with 16 other Lithuanian student folk groups.

    Unique Young Mothers Photo Exhibit Opened at MRU

    October 30th, 2017, a unique photography exhibit featuring photos of women who gave birth at a young age, sometimes risking family and societal displeasure, opened in the first floor foyer of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). Photographer Giedrė Šataitė has chronicled the lives of about a dozen young mothers pictured with their children. Šataitė herself became a mother at age 16.

    Friday, Sept. 1st, 2017, a new academic year began at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). An extraordinary meeting of the University Senate was held. Law Faculty Lecturer Tomas Girdenis recognized as Lecturer-of-the-Year. Student Body President Kamilė Salickaitė addressed academic community members saying, "don't be afraid to dream."
