Team From Jagiellonian Univ Won Mediation Tournament at MRU

dsc1606 Jan. 24-25th, 2019, a student team from Poland's Jagiellonian University won the international Vilnius Mediation Tournament held at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU).

There were 10 teams from Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania that took part.

A Ukrainian student team from Jaroslav the Wise Law University took 2nd place. A team of Law students from Prague's University Karlova (Charles University) comprised of Pavol, Martin and Jana, came in third.

Students had to decide three different disputes playing roles of mediators, attorneys or just mediating.

Results of the teams were evaluated by well-known foreign and Lithuanian mediators.

The MRU Student Team included Robertas Mackevičius, Liuda Marcinkevičiūtė and Elizabet Pinchuk. They did well and exhibited a high-level of professionalism, but came short of a winning place.

The Tournament was co-funded by Erasmus+ programme of the EU.

It was organized by MRU School of Law's Public Law Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Agnė Tvaronavičienė and the Head of the Mediation and Sustainable Conflict Resolution Laboratory Assoc. Prof. of Law Natalija Kaminskienė.
