A Foreign Students’ Affairs Group will be established from September, which will be responsible for providing information, and helping internationl students get accustomed to life at MRU, she said.

Salickaitė, who was elected Student Body President in March, said the new Group will be able to provide answers to many questions that students have.

We have alot of plans on the drawing board, said Salickaitė. It is afterall, universities – institutions of higher education, that depend on students, she added.

“We want to show that students are able to do a lot, achieve a lot.”

Aside from studies, MRU has much to offer international students in terms of extracurricular activites such as Debate Club, Theatre, Pop Vocal Group, and Folk Dancing.

We will be announcing what activities are available for international students and inviting them to join, she said.

Each year MRU’s Student Body organizes a number of international events on campus including MRU Night in the spring semester, Christmas activities and of course, Welcome Activities for freshmen.
