Student Art, Videos, POP, Concerts @ KID Event May 14th

dsc0505 May 14th, 2018, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Communication Institute students displayed video installations, art, during the annual KID event on campus.

Singer Paulina Anisimova performed Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" during the opening. She was accompanied by pianist Julianas Germanovič.

MRU Communication Institute Head Assoc. Prof. V. Valentinavičius addressed those gathered. Quoting poet Maya Angelou he said, "you can't use up creativity - the more you use, the more you have."

Among the many student creations on display were a dress made from newspapers that drew the attention of participants.

Short programme of events:

At 12:15 hrs., MRU Communication Institute Head Assoc. Prof. Virgis Valentinavičius and Creative Industries Day (KID) Director Edita Dalia Rakauskaitė will deliver the opening addresses.

At 12:35 hrs., the project, "Futurepreneur" will be presented by MRU Course Head Monika Mačiulienė (Rotunda Hall).

At 13:10 hrs., MRU Bachelor's/Master's Degree students will present student news/press projects. Introduction by Course Head MRU Assoc. Prof. Valdas Dambrava.

At 14:20 hrs., Film director Andrius Lekavičius will discuss logo design, various projects and his work. (Rotunda Hall)

A. Noviko POP Vocal Group will perform in concert at 15:20 hrs.

At 18:00 hrs., Communications and Creative Industries Master's Degree students will present their projects with Lecturer Edita Dalia Rakauskaitė.
