SENTER Network & ENLETS Sign MOU to Foster Research to Combat Cybercrime

The Association “Network for Strengthening European Network Centres of Excellence in Cybercrime" (SENTER Network) and European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS) have announced a new cooperation agreement.

The agreement, in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), formalizes the mutual commitment and strengthens the existing relationship between SENTER Network and ENLETS at the strategic and working levels. At the same time, the agreement focuses on the areas of mutual interest - research development, networking, policy development, awareness building and other agreed efforts intended to counter cybercrimes.

It will stimulate research for law enforcement in countering cybercrime, enhancing co-creation activities and fostering information-sharing between law enforcement and the
research community.

ENLETS is an active network of law enforcement agencies across the EU that stimulates research for law enforcement and supports front line policing and the fight against organized crime by scanning and raising awareness of new technology and best practices/recent developments.

The SENTER Network is a European network of centers of excellence for training, research & education in the field of cybercrime, which has pioneered the implementation of cross-border cooperation aiming at contributing to law enforcement efforts to counter cybercrime.

Both SENTER Network and ENLETS have shared objectives of serving the public interest and stimulating an integrated approach in technology services, co-creation and joint research and development.

The MOU provides continuity for joint activities of both networks in achieving common goals: strengthening Security Forces (Police), incorporating innovative methods, technologies in their daily operations and promoting end-users’ needs focused research and scientific developments.
