Photo Exhibition Commemorating Life of Philosopher, Editor Ozolas Opened

Feb. 17th, 2020, a photo exhibition marking the life of philosopher, editor, author and signatory of Lithuania's Act of Restoration of Independence Romualdas Ozolas (1939-2015) was opened in MRU's Rotunda Hall.

MRU Theatre Director Julius Dautartas moderated the event. MRU Deputy Rector Assoc. Prof. Saulius Spurga opened the event and recounted events associated with Ozolas' life.

Ex-MRU Council member, long-time Seimas parliament speaker Česlovas Juršėnas spoke at length about Ozolas, with whom he worked. He also discussed the position of women in pre-war Lithuania and their important contribution to Lithuania's Independence.

The photo exhibit is one of the events commemorating Lithuania's Independence Day, which was celebrated on Sunday, Feb. 16th.
