MRU Remains Most Popular University

mrubdlgsunny August 1st, the daily "Lietuvos Rytas" newspaper reports that Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) remains one of the most popular universities in the country.

This year 21,067 students expressed a desire to study at MRU, which is an increase over last year's number.

According to "Lietuvos Rytas" MRU is one of the few universities in Lithuania that managed to remain popular among high school graduates and showed an increase in the number of applicants.

The most popular areas of studies at MRU remain law, economics, psychology and public administration, according to preliminary figures. In addition, the newly-created Translation/Editing programme that will be offered this fall, is also popular with entering students.

The new academic year begins on Saturday, September 1st.
