MRU Canoeist Jevgenijus Šuklinas Striving for Gold Medal

suklinashonouredathleteyr Aug. 19th, 2014, MRU Master's Degree student and canoeist Jevgenijus Šuklinas, interviewed by the "Lietuvos Rytas" weekly "Stilius" magazine says winning a gold medal is the aim of his life.

He won a silver medal in the London 2012 Olympic Games.

At the World Rowing & Canoe Championships held in Russia this month he won a bronze medal. He told journalists that he made "a mistake" which cost him a gold medal at the Championships.

"During my career in world championshis this is the best finish," he said. Šuklinas, 28 years old, said that at his age he is counting every season and doing the best that he can.

Šuklinas is a student in the Public Administration Master's Degree programme at MRU.
