MRU Assoc. Prof. Bagdanskis: Tendency for Employers to Prefer Younger Workers

bagdanskistmabtinta May 29th, attorney and MRU Law Faculty Assoc. Prof. Tomas Bagdanskis was interviewed by the "Žinių radijas" radio on employment of older individuals and discrimination in the labour market.

Bagdanskis, a practicing attorney, pointed out that although older individuals can not be discriminated against, there is a tendency by employers to prefer younger employees.

The younger employees are more flexible, likely to continue their education or professional training and are more energetic, he pointed out.

MRU Assoc. Prof. Bagdanskis was voted one of the best attorneys in Lithuania in 2012 by the influential "Best Lawyers" legal guide.

Bagdanskis is an associate professor in the MRU Law Faculty's Department of Labor Law and Social Security.
