Master’s Degree Students Were in Finland for Comparative Social Policy Course

Feb. 6th-17th, 2017, MRU joint Master's Degree "Comparative Social Policy and Welfare" students participated in an intensive course at Finland's University of Tampere (UT). 
There were students from Argentina, Austria, Azerbaijan, Chile, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Lithuania, Mexico, and Finland taking part not only from MRU, and UT but also Austria's Johannes Kepler University. 

Students were in Finland to attend lectures and increase their knowledge about social policy and welfare and learn more about the social policy and welfare European dimension. 

They are also studying Austria's, Lithuania's and Finland's labour and social safety systems and developing their knowledge regarding theoretical and methodological contemporary sociology. 

Lectures were presented by MRU's Institute of Educational Sciences and Social Work Prof. Dr. Leta Dromantienė and Lecturer Dr. Vida Česnuitytė, UT Prof. Dr. Liisa Häikiö, Lecturer Aart-Jan Riekhoff, and Johannes Kepler University Prof. Dr. Margitta Mätzke, Lecturer Nadja Meisterhans, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Harald Stöger. 

Students also had the opportunity to visit Helsinki and Finland's National Health and Welfare Institute, which is located there.
