Intl Joint Master's Programme Students Began Lectures Sept. 15th
Sept. 15th-26th, 2014, students of the Social Technologies Faculty's international Joint Master's Programme, "Comparative Social Policy & Welfare," begin a series of lectures at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU).
There will be 25 students from Austria's Johannes Kepler Linz University (JKU), Finland's University of Tampere (UT) and MRU attending the lectures. Eight students hail from Lithuania. Other students come from Austria, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, China, Croatia, Ethiopia, Finland, Korea, Latvia, Tanzania, and other countries.
Academics from abroad as well as MRU will be giving lectures including: JKU Prof. Josef Weidenholzer, JKU Prof. Margitta Maetzke, UT Liisä Häikiö, UT dr. Katja Repo and UT Katri Sieberg from Finland. MRU Institute of Educational Sciences and Social Work Lecturers Inga Gaižauskaitė, Dainius Bernotas, Vida Česnuitytė will also present lectures.
The joint programme seeks to prepare highly qualified sociologists and welfare experts and to acquaint students with the social welfare systems of Austria, Finland, and Lithuania.
