Faculty Dean Assoc. Prof. Valentinavičius Discusses Elections & Macron's Win in France

valentukevicius-4531 April 24th, 2017, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Faculty of Politics and Management Dean Assoc. Prof. Virginijus Valentinavičius was a panelist on the Žinių radijas radio's "Įvykiai ir komentarai" (Events and Commentary) programme.

The presidential election in France and Lithuania's internal politics were the main themes.

In France, April 23rd, 2017, centrist presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron won 23,9% of the vote and will proceed to a run-off election in May against far right candidate Marine Le Pen.

Various issues in Lithuania's political sphere also dominated the conversation including the election April 22nd of Lithuania's Social Democrat party chair Gintautas Paluckas to head the party.
