October 25th, 2019, Korea's Dongseo University President and MRU Honorary Degree recepient Prof. Dr. Jekuk Chang visited Mykolas Romeris University and met with Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienė, university professors, lecturers.
 
During the meeting there was discussion of fostering closer ties of cooperation.
 
There was discussions on how both universities could more actively collaborate in the areas of research, publication and continue developing the jointly established King Sejong Institute (KSI), the first in the Baltics. In 2018, the KSI Vilnius was selected as one of the best such institutes in the world. Each year about 200 students and pupils study Korean language, learn more about Korean culture and become more closely acquainted with Korea by attending workshops, lectures and special events.
 

In addition, there was discussion about further developing the joint Bachelor's Degree programme that both universities from 2013 together implement, "Informatics and Digital Contents."

 
Discussions centered on closer cooperation possibilities. There was also information exchanged about global digital contents tendencies and the latest in animation tendencies.
