Conference: Single Accreditation of Joint Programmes Was Live Online

May 30th-31st 2017, the international conference, “Single Accreditation of Joint Programmes – Turning a Bologna Guideline into Reality,” was broadcast live online from Vilnius, Lithuania.

The aim of the conference was to discuss and clarify obstacles in various countries hampering the real implementation of European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes, adopted by EHEA ministers in May 2015 and search for answers on “what”, “how” and “when” could be made by relevant stakeholders in amending legislation, guidance or in changing practices on the national and European levels.

Members of EU institutions, national QA agencies, Parliaments, ministries, Bologna Process experts, reviewers involved in accreditation, leaders of joint programmes consortiums – representatives from over a dozen countries came together to discuss the issue.

There were more than 120 participants from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Romania, and Ukraine attending.

The conference was organized by the consortium of six European higher education institutions, implementing the European Joint Master‘s programme in Strategic Border Management and coordinated by Frontex, the European Union Border and Coast Guard Agency in conjunction with Lithuania’s Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC).  The Conference was hosted by consortium member Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania).
