Bartusevičienė Defends Dissertation: Impact of Resources on EU Sustainable Development

March 3rd, 2017, 10:00 a.m. in MRU's I-414 aud., MRU Economics Institute PhD student Ilona Bartuševičienė will defend her dissertation, "The Impact of Intangible Resources on Sustainable Development in European Union ((EU) Countries Determination Model. The dissertation attempts to provide answers to several questions. Some of these are: which theoretical interpretations of intangible resources, their expression and empowerment in the economy and the methodological approaches should be used, when assessing the impact of intangible resources on a country's sustainable development. In addition, the dissertation will deal with the concept of intangible resources and how it was formed. The knowledge capital component will be discussed. It is understood as digital inclusion, innovations and economic competencies dimensions as a whole. The concept supplements the theories of economy by emphasizing the separation between the human and knowledge capital, and at the same time, supports the importance of both components for the development of intangible resources. A model created for the assessment of the impact of intangible resources on sustainable development, intends to assess the impact of these resources on sustainable development. It supplements the models that currently exist in scientific literature, as it is directly focused on revealing the impact of intangible resources on sustainable development in EU countries.
