Baltic Seminar on Korean Studies Held April 20th

April 20th, 2018, the 4th Baltic Seminar on Korean Studies was held at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). 

The event was organized in part by MRU's Institute of Humanities and the University of Latvia's Centre for Korean Studies. 

Opening addresses were delivered by King Sejong Institute (KSI) Vilnius Director MRU Assoc. Prof. Lora Tamošiūnienė; MRU International Office Head Audra Dargytė-Burokienė; and University of Latvia Centre for Korean Studies Head Seo Jinseok.

University of London Prof. Yeon Jaehoon delivered the keynote speech, "Issues in Teaching Korean for University Degree Courses."

The Korean Studies Academy and the Literature Translation Institute of Korea supported the seminar.

Academics from Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, South Korea, Slovenia and the U.K. attended.

After the seminar, there was a discussion and meeting with South Korean author Kang Byoung-Yoong.
