ANNUAL VEIDAS RATINGS: MRU Rated #1 in Terms of Internationalism

veidasrating May 23rd, the weekly magazine "Veidas" publishing its annual university ratings for Lithuania, ranked MRU in first place for international relations, exchanges and programmes taught in foreign languages.

The new "Veidas" category rating, internationalism, was introduced this year.

There were 19 universities that were rated in Lithuania.

Overall, MRU came in 3rd among institutions of higher education in Lithuania.

"What is new this year, is that for the first time we singled out the internationality criteria: we evaluated not only exchange programmes, but university cooperation with other foreign universities, preparing specialists according to joint study programmes and awarding double diplomas, as well as the number of programmes taught in foreign languages. We assigned lots of weight to this criteria-15 points from 100. According to the internationality criteria, the leader is MRU," Veidas noted in its article accompanying the ratings.

In addition, for the first time there is reliable data from the Lithuanian Job Exchange (LDB) about employment of graduates. Those graduating from VU, MRU and KTU had the best chances of finding employment upon graduation.

Mykolas Romeris University was also cited as one of the top universities for great study conditions, infrastructure and the quality of the University Library, which is open 24 hours a day, every day for the convenience of students.
