CALL FOR PAPERS

The conference and the workshop, hosted by the Institute of Humanities of Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania), will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 12-13 October 2017.

We welcome contributions from scholars, researchers, as well as professional translators. The conference will embrace a broad inclusive perspective on discourse, technology and translation, integrating a workshop which will focus on discourse annotation, multilingual discourse annotation, contrastive analysis and translation.

The conference presents an excellent opportunity for exchange of ideas, insights and latest research focused on, but not limited to:
- Discourse in Humanities
- Discourse in Social Sciences
- Technology in Societal Studies
- Translation Studies

Prof. dr. Jacqueline Visconti, University of Genoa
Assoc. Prof. dr. Carl Vogel, Trinity College Dublin, University of Dublin

The Institute of Humanities welcomes abstract (200-250 words) submissions for the conference. All submissions are peer-reviewed.

Prospective authors are invited to submit full, original research papers which are not submitted, published or under consideration for publication or acceptance in other conferences and journals.

Conference fee: Presenters - 40 euros. Non-presenters - 15 euros.

The deadline for conference abstract submissions is 10 September 2017
The deadline for full-text paper submissions is 10 November 2017

Publishing:

All accepted abstracts will be included in the Conference Book of Abstracts (ISBN) accessible on Mykolas Romeris University website.

Selected full-text papers will be published in the research journal Societal Studies (Mykolas Romeris University: https://www3.mruni.eu/ojs/societal-studies/). The academic journal Societal Studies is included in the EBSCO Publishing, Inc., C.E.E.O.L., PROQUEST and ULRICH'S international databases.

For the additional fee (185 EUR) selected full-text articles (prepared an author or a group of authors) will be published in the Conference Proceedings by Medimond Publishing House and indexed in Clarivate Analytics (WoS).
