Study Programmes

Since 2007, the Department of Strategic Management offers a wide range of lecture courses in Master’s Degree programs:

  • Forecasting
    Purpose of the course – is to provide understanding of the fundamentals of forecasting and foresight, directions of implementation, methodology and to provide practical skills about qualitative forecasting methods (Delphy, scenario planning and others) with expert opinions, quantitative methods with time series and regression analysis and its applications.

  • Strategic analysis; strategic planning; strategy evaluation and control
    Purposes of these three courses are to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills about strategic analysis methods and its application, formation of strategy methodology and strategic planning process, strategy and program evaluation and control.

  • Regional Development Strategic Planning
    Purpose of the course – is to master regional development theories and regional development strategies based on this, and to evaluate, from today’s perspective, regional policy undertaken in the European Union (EU) and Lithuania.

  • Strategic Management of Science and Studies
    Purpose of the course – to familiarize students with the fundamentals of strategic management of science and studies, and to form science and study strategic analysis and planning skills.

  • Strategic Managemnet of Business, Financial Organizations and Public Sector Institutions
    The purpose of these three courses is to provide students with practical skills to analyse strategic management case studies in business, financial organizations, and public sector institutions.

  • Investment Project Preparation and Evaluation
    The purpose of the course – to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills about preparation and evaluation of investment projects, attraction of financing and implementation of investment projects, while investing in the private and public sector, to form student skills to independently study and analyse scientific research publications, the ability to think critically when analyzing problematic investment project preparation and evaluation questions, and to encourage students’ practical insights and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in resolving practical problems.

  • Public and Private Partnership Project Preparation and Evaluation
    The purpose of the course – to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills, when choosing a proper type of public private partnership for infrastructure development, to prepare, evaluate and implement public and private partnership projects, to form student skills for independent study and analysis of scientific research publications, to form the ability for critical thought, when analysing projects, to encourage students’ practical insights and the ability to apply knowledge in the resolution of practical problems.

  • Research work
    The Purpose of course - to familiarize students with quantitative and qualitative research methods applied in the social sciences, in social and marketing research and their application possibilities.

    The Purpose of the Course – to familiarize students with essentials of strategic management and to form strategic thinking skills.

  • The Theory of Strategic and Programme Management
    The Purpose of the Course – to familiarize students with the strategic, program management and program budgeting theories and to form thinking skills.
