Prof. dr. Vida Gudžinskienė, Programme Director:
The implementation according to principles of intensive study programme, i.e. 2 weeks of intensive face to face courses is perfect and allows those, who are fully engaged in labor market (working), to study. Based on convenient ad innovative format, there could be uprising of such programmes in the future. Student testimonials

Giedrius Vaidelis, Student:
This programme is relevant, because current (21st century) issues call for new attitude toward children and youth and other social aspects. This programme is meaningful due to its joined programme characteristics, when it is possible to compare social policies, tools and practices of few cultures and countries. Programme is flexible and diverse: modules and practices are inclusive and relevant, lecturers and students are eager to work together and learn every step of the way. The form of study programme is innovative, practical and deals with real life situations.
Ieva Rauktytė- Žigonė, Graduate:
This programme suits anyone who wants to work with children and youth. Programme is full of theoretical and practical knowledge that is tailored to help children and youth. Session in Riga widens your horizon on social services and its concept. This programme is ideal both for social work novices and experience practitioners. Lecturers seek for quality and they care about students' achievements thus are eager to help in every step.
Viktorija Valantinaitė, Graduate:
I did not wait too long to choose Social work with children and youth, and I do not have regrets to this day. First of all, the format of this programme is perfect and allows for those, who are fully engaged in labor market (working), to study. Based on convenient ad innovative format, there could be uprising of such programmes in the future. I believe that the quality of this programme is by no means lower than full-time study programmes, mainly because you take as much from it as you want. It is also important to note, that the team of coordinators and lecturers are competent, flexible and friendly. Joint Master‘s study programme is a perfect choice for those who seek to earn higher education degree, develop new competences, gain valuable experience by analyzing not only Lithuania‘s, but also other countries‘ practices and policies. Joint study programme with its format are meaningful both in theoretical and practical knowledge. Practical knowledge is at a core of the programme, because we spend much time on analyzing real-life situations. Visits at the institutions are probably the most significant virtue, because theory is directly applied into practice. This aspect usually is lacking in other study programmes. Other virtue is sincere help from all the lecturers, who direct student to successful graduation. Moreover, seminars are always interactive, we are taught to develop strategies and model our steps to solve issues.
Dovydas Bliujus, Graduate:
In order to earn Master‘s degree, I spend long hours searching for a programme that will suit my work position – working as a social worker. Then I received the information about Joint Master‘s programme which was essential to the intensive international learning. I have participated in international programme while studying in bachelor‘s programme, which left a great impression. During short time I gained a lot of experience and knowledge which still impacts my life to this day. Thus, I could not miss out on this opportunity to study at the Joint Master‘s programme. This purposeful transformation into Master‘s programme, in my opinion, demonstrates that programme is going in the right way. „Out of the box“ – perfectly describes this programme. First of all, studies are embedded in international dimension, where you can communicate openly with highly skilled experts in your field. Some courses are team-taught by couple lecturers which provide great balance. Second, new information is reinforced by the visits to governmental and nongovernmental institutions. During these visits we ca compare views and positions of both ours and specialists. These visits are essential part of the programme. Third, is the format of the programme – studies can easily fit with your work schedule.
