Environmental Governance (Graduate)

 

Why this study programme?

The aim of the Environmental Governance study programme is to develop competencies in environmental governance and management. The programme covers main environmental study fields. Among others programme includes developing skills in public management, administration, e-governance and public service provision.

The programme focuses on providing leadership skills in environmental governance that would help teams in public and non-profit organisations to create greater value for wide range of citizens.  

Prof. Pranas Mierauskas, Director of the Programme:
Mykolas Romeris University Environmental Governance study programme is unique in Lithuania. Although some Lithuanian universities are providing related programmes in physical or environmental engineering fields, it is a relatively new concept in the country. Our academic staff is prominent in conducting specialised research in environmental governance and students can get excellent advice on a broad range of topics in environmental management and conservation fields.

Entry requirements

  • Graduates of university bachelor's studies in any study field can apply to this programme;
  • English language proficiency - the level not lower than B2 (following the Common Framework of Reference for Language approved by the Council of Europe). Distant English language level test is organized for those, who do not possess IELTS or TOEFL certificates.

International mobility possibilities

Students can participate in ERASMUS+ mobility programme which gives a possibility to study at a university abroad for 1 or 2 semesters and do internship in another country.

Career prospects

Graduates can take up jobs as team leaders, project managers, planning specialists in environmental governance throughout the EU – its member states’ public and non-profit organisations.
