The Vice-Rector for Development and International Relations carries out these duties:

1. has responsibility for the University's development as it pertains to the studies and research sphere in Lithuania and abroad;
2. initiates, and within the framework of his competency, is responsible for cooperation with Lithuanian and foreign universities and other institutions of higher learning in the area of international cooperation and Lithuanian project preparation and implementation questions, and participation in international programmes;
3. initiates, and within the framework of his competency, is responsible for University participation in international organizations, networks and mega-networks;
4. leads determining the University's information policy in Lithuania and abroad and is responsible for its implementation;
5. in the management of the University's Development and International Relations activities, actively implements innovations, applies Lithuania's and international experience;
6. forms and implements the University's charity/giving policy;
7. maintains ties with the University's social partners;
8. is the Head of the Communication and Marketing Centre.

The Vice-Rector reports directly to the Rector regarding his activities.
