June 16th, 2015, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Assoc. Prof. A. Monkevičius met with Education and Science Minister Audronė Pitrėnienė.

Education and Science Ministry Chancellor Dainius Numgaudis also attended the meeting.

There was discussion about development of the higher education system and other matters.

There was consensus that there should be efforts concentrated on development of each individual student's potential thus paving the way for success.

In addition, there was discussion about amendments to the Law on Studies relating to international studies programme reglamentation, conditions for further developing Master's Degree and PhD programmes.

There was also some discussion about incentives for more intensive cooperation between universities and colleges.
