Rector Met with Lithuania’s Ambassador to the Netherlands

August 19th, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Assoc. Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius met with Lithuania's Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Darius Semaška. During the meeting both sides discussed MRU's cooperation with universities and other institutions in the Netherlands. MRU Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Inga Žalėnienė also participated in the meeting. MRU partners, part of the Erasmus+ programme, include 11 universities in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. For the last decade, MRU's Law Faculty participates in the activities of Rotterdam Erasmus University's coordinated Law Faculties network. At this time the network unites 36 Law Faculties. Together with the Netherland's Defence Academy and other European higher education institutions, MRU implemented the European Joint Master's in Strategic Border Management, which is financed by the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of Member States of the European Union (FRONTEX). A joint diploma is issued to graduates by the Netherlands Defence Academy along with Spain's Salamanca University, Spain's Long Distance Learning University, Latvia's Rezekne University of Applied Science and MRU.
