May 6th, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University's (MRU) Theatre Troupe presented the play, "Crime and Punishment" based on the novel by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

The play is directed by MRU Theatre Director Julius Dautartas.

In keeping with tradition, MRU's Theatre each year participates in the International University Theatre Forum in Lithuania held this year from May 1st-7th.

This year's 17th Theatre Forum is called "Another Type of Reality" (Kitokia tikrove) and is dedicated to the ongoing growing threats and challenges and the need to think seriously about them, evaluate them, according to Theatre Forum organizer Oleg Kesminas, who is VGTU's Theatre Studio "Palėpė" Head.

Dautartas has directed a number of plays at MRU in recent years. His recent play, "Threshold of Life" based on Joshua Sobol's play, "Vilnius Ghetto" had its premiere in 2014 and was later turned into a movie.
