Lithuania’s Prime Minister, Vilnius Mayor, Dignitaries at MRU LAB Opening

Sept. 24th, Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius, Deputy Seimas Parliament Head Vydas Gedvilas, Ambassadors, dignitaries, ministers, guests from Japan, Korea, Ukraine, attended the opening of the MRU LAB at the new University LAB building (Didlaukio g. 57 A). 

Mykolas Romeris University Rector Assoc. Prof. greeted those gathered at the standing-room only event. He encouraged the MRU LAB to be open not only for MRU's community, but for all those in Vilnius.

Vilnius Mayor Šimašius congratulated MRU on the opening of the LAB.

MRU Student Body President Justinas Motiejūnas spoke at the event urging all to "grab hold" of success and to reach further and further.

MRU partners from Asia attended the event including Japan's Josai International University Vice-President Prof. Masumi Ishida and Korea's Dongseo University (DSU) Vice-President Jeoung Sung Cho, PhD from Busan.

The MRU LAB building will house 19 laboratories, the Research and Innovation Support Centre and the Social Innovation Doctoral School. The MRU LAB will also play host to events, conferences held on campus.

The new LAB will offer students the possibility to work closely with academics, professors, and researchers in one of the 19 laboratories.
