FLOWS Student Research Conference – May 16th

May 16th, 2018, FLOWS, the annual Philology Students Research Conference was held at Mykolas Romeris University's (MRU) Institute of Humanities.

FLOWS is an open student research and creativity event, whose mission is to challenge and to extend our learning and teaching efforts in creating larger knowledge in the areas of study.

THE CONCEPT

We share the understanding of flows as instances of extreme clarity, which creative people experience. This may happen when we meet a challenge and it awakens our skills to create new things. Our skills may not be quite as high as they should be, but we can move into flows fairly easily by just developing a little more skill. We forget ourselves and feel part of something larger.

This provides flows, moments of highest motivation, the experience of life in “A MORE CONCENTRATED REALITY” (From: Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi: Flow, the Secret to Happiness, Filmed February 2004 at TED 2004)
