Oct. 19th-21st, 2016, the international conference, "Empowering EU Security Research Through Innovation, Co-Creation and Implementation," was held on campus.

It's a conference organised with funding from the European Commission's project, "Strengthening European Network Centres of Excellence in Cybercrime," (SENTER).

The goal of the conference was to strengthen dialogue between two EU-established networks, SENTER and the European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS), and to discuss directions of cooperation.

Project partners and invited guests from at least 13 EU member countries and institutions participated in the conference.

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) along with partners from more than 13 EU member states and institutions is implementing the SENTER project.

The aim of the project was to create an inter-institutional EU cybercrime network, which would conduct research, training and education workshops about cybercrimes at the EU-level.
