July 7th, 2015, Lithuania's Ambassador to Japan, the Republic of the Philippines, Commonwealth of Australia and to New Zealand Egidijus Meilūnas visited Mykolas Romeris University (MRU).

Meilūnas met with Rector Assoc. Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius and Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Prof. Inga Žalėnienė.

There was consideration of possible areas and ways of strengthening cooperation with Japan's and Australia's universities.

Due to the efforts of Ambassador Meilūnas, MRU's ties with universities in Japan and organizations, such as the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), have been strengthened.
