    May 19-21st, 2017, three Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) athletes won gold medals at the SELL Student Games that were held in Riga. Field-and-track champion Simas Bertašius won gold along with Artūras Maiboroda (judo) and Jokūbas Stasiulis (triathlon).

    Dec. 13th, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) student, rower and Olympic 2016 champion Mindaugas Griškonis was recognised as one of 2016's Outstanding Athletes at an Awards ceremony in Kaunas hosted by Lithuania's Student Sports Association (LSSA). He is a student in MRU's Faculty of Politics and Management.

    MRU Grads Propelled Chess Team to 12th Place at Chess Olympiad in Baku

    At the 42nd Chess Olympiad, organised by the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE), MRU graduate Deimantė Daulytė and post-doc researcher Salomėja Zaksaitė propelled the Lithuanian Chess Team place to 12th place of 141 teams in Azerbaijan. The Chess Olympiad was held in Baku Sept. 1st-14th. The Chess Olympiad draws about 3,000 athletes and officials from more than 150 countries.

    Student - Judo Athlete Lekavičius Wins Gold at EUSA Games

    Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) student and judo athlete Žilvinas Lekavičius won a gold medal at the European University Sports Association (EUSA) Games in Croatia that were held July 12th-25th. About 5,000 athletes, representing 403 universities from 41 countries, participated in the Games.

    May 3rd, 2016, MRU's Basketball Team lost 95--100 to the Klaipėda University (KU) Team, just short of bronze medals in the Lithuanian Student Basketball League's (LSKL) championship game played in Kaunas. MRU top scorers were Margiris Normantas and Ignas Ryla with 20 points each.
