VISAS

Lithuania belongs to the Schengen Area. EU nationals holding a valid national ID card are not obliged to have a passport when coming to Lithuania. Otherwise, passport valid for at least three months beyond length of stay is required by all other non-EU citizens.

Citizens, who need a visa to enter Lithuania, please contact the nearest embassy of Lithuanian as early as possible (minimum 1 month) prior to your intended travel date to Lithuania. Citizens of certain countries can apply to the diplomatic missions and consular posts, which represent Lithuania. Please consult the list of countries.

TRAVEL

The fastest and most comfortable way to travel to Lithuania is by plane. Flights operate between Vilnius and most European capitals. Vilnius airport is 5 km south of the city centre. There are two banks and 3 ATMs located in the airport. The website of Vilnius airport you will find here.

FROM THE AIRPORT

By taxi it would cost you about 45 litas to go to the Mykolas Romeris University. It is advised to agree with the taxi driver about the price before the entrance to taxi. Although the taxi drivers are obligated to switch on the taxometer they sometimes cheat especially with the foreigners. By public transportation: From the Airport, you can take bus No. 2 and go to the bus stop “Zaliasis tiltas”. Then take bus No. 10 or No. 33 and go to a bus stop “Mykolo Romerio universitetas”. Single bus ticket, valid for one journey on one unit of transportation costs 1 litas if bought in a press kiosk or 1.50 litas if bought at the driver of the bus. Total length of travel by public transportation from the Airport to the Mykolas Romeris University is about 50 minutes.
By microbus: you can take a microbus No. 15 and go until bus stop “Ateities”. Then you can either walk to the University or take any bus for 1 stop. (Total duration of travel will be approximately 30-40 minutes).

FROM THE RAILWAY STATION OR BUS STATION

By taxi it would cost you approximately 30 litas to go to the Mykolas Romeris University. By public transportation: You can either take a bus no. 34 and go until the bus stop “Ateities”, and then you walk to the University or take any bus for 1 stop or take a trolley No.5 and go to bus stop “Zaliasis tiltas. Then take bus No. 10 or No. 33 and go to a bus stop Mykolo Romerio universitetas”.
By microbus: you can take a microbus No. 5 and go until bus stop “Ateities”. Then you can either walk to the University or take any bus for 1 stop. You can take a microbus No. 2 and go until a bus stop “Pamiškë”. Then you can either walk to the University or take any bus for 1 stop.
