Philosophy and the other humanities

Philosophy envisages similar challenges as the other humanities. The situation obligates philosophers, first of all, to rethink the aims of philosophy at the present, and to comprehend more clearly the mission of the philosophical reflection within the context of the other humanities. One of the consideration  topics  is a global problem of identity arising not only before individuals but also before nations and states.  Another issue of examination is multiculturalism brought by the streams of migration and obscuring cultural self-identification for many individuals. The following themes are included in the philosophy and the other humanities track:
  • Modern theories in philosophy of the humanities
  • Interdisciplinary approach and methodological diversity
  • Logical discourse as a framework for interdisciplinary dialogue
  • Philosophical reflection on values and meanings of life, other relevant topics
