MRUSA is a non-governmental, non-profit, independent volunteer organization.
It‘s made up of six committees: Public Relations, Academic Affairs, Culture, Human Resources, Marketing and International Relations.
MRUSA‘s history began on November 21st, 1991, when the Lithuanian Police Academy‘s Student Council was established. Later it expanded to become the Lithuanian Law University Student Representative Body and in 2005 became the Students‘ Representative Body of Mykolas Romeris University.
What it Does?
MRUSA supports students and defends their interests. It is concerned with everything that is tied to academic affairs, participation in various MRUSA-organized projects, events and leisure activities at Mykolas Romeris University and beyond the university. The organization also seeks to strengthen and foster national culture, human values and traditions and encourage students to engage in interesting and useful activities.
How it Works?
MRUSA takes part in organizing the study process, organizing study programmes and taking care of students‘ cultural life and leisure activities. The organization administers and organizes scientific, cultural and creative activities. It supports and encourages cooperation with students in other higher education institutions and youth and student organizations. It represents Mykolas Romeris University students within the university and outside its borders. MRUSA organizes not only traditional events (freshmen inauguration activities, „Lady & Gentlemen MRU” competitions, etc.), but also conferences and debates regarding various subjects. It also collaborates with other organizations and associations and implements projects. The most important aim of the organization, however, remains to support and defend student interests.
